Match the method to the task
Steam cleaning can be considered for selected hard surfaces and detailed cleaning areas where the material, finish and surrounding equipment allow it. Tell us about residue in edges, joints and accessible components that routine cleaning has not addressed.
Potential applications are assessed individually. We confirm the surfaces and components included in the quotation, along with any preparation or access needed.
Steam, pressure cleaning or another approach?
Steam cleaning and hot-water pressure cleaning are different services. The choice depends on the surface, type of build-up, amount of material to remove and site conditions.
We may recommend steam for a detailed task, pressure cleaning for a suitable larger surface, or another cleaning method where heat and moisture are unsuitable. The aim is to match the work to the site rather than apply one method everywhere.
Equipment and surface assessment
Our steam-cleaning equipment and attachments are selected for the agreed task. Before work, we consider temperature sensitivity, coatings, seals, joints, nearby electrical components and access to the area.
Tell us about manufacturer restrictions and any equipment isolation procedures. Cleaning accessible surfaces does not include dismantling, electrical servicing or repairs unless separately agreed.
Working in food-related premises
Share your site’s cleaning procedures, production schedule and documentation requirements before we quote. We can discuss suitable work areas, preparation and the records needed for your cleaning programme.
Service reports are provided when quoted or requested. Any specific sanitising, disinfection or verification requirement must be defined separately; a steam-cleaning service does not itself certify the facility as HACCP compliant.
What affects the price?
The quotation depends on the size and detail of the task, build-up, material, access, preparation and available work window. Equipment sensitivity and the need to protect surrounding areas may also affect the scope.
Steam-cleaning questions
Can steam be used on every machine or surface?
No. We need to assess heat and moisture sensitivity, condition and manufacturer instructions first.
Does steam cleaning mean the site is sterilised?
No such claim is included in this service. Tell us if you require a separately specified hygiene treatment and verification process.
Do you provide a service report?
Yes, when quoted or requested. Share your reporting requirements before the work is agreed.
Can you combine steam cleaning with industrial cleaning?
Yes. We can discuss it as one element of a wider site-cleaning scope.
Let us assess your cleaning task
Send your suburb, photographs, the surface or equipment involved, the type of residue and any restrictions on heat, moisture or downtime.
